Maintenance Questions
How often do you mow?
Weekly through the growing season, roughly April into October, is the standard for most properties in the Fox Valley. Bi-weekly is an option when the lawn is slower, and we will tell you if a property is better served one way or the other.
Do I have to sign up for a full season?
No. Seasonal plans get first spot on the route and the most consistent results, but one-time cleanups, trimming and single visits are available when the schedule allows.
When should shrubs be trimmed?
It depends on the plant. Most hedges and boxwoods are shaped in early summer and again in late summer; spring-flowering shrubs wait until after they bloom. Part of the plan is trimming each one at the right time rather than everything on the same day.
Do you maintain yards you did not install?
Yes. Plenty of our maintenance clients came to us for the ongoing care first. If we spot something that needs a bigger fix, like drainage or a failing bed, we will point it out, but there is no obligation.
Do you offer maintenance for businesses and HOAs?
Yes. Commercial properties, HOAs and multi-family sites are on the same seasonal plans, and we handle the winter side too through commercial snow removal.
Where does the mulch come from?
Kane County Landscape Materials in Elburn, which carries nine varieties. We match the mulch to the beds and the look you want, and refresh it as part of spring service so it keeps doing its job through summer.
